It’s funny how Obama is willing to get angry and use this kind of strong, passionate rhetoric… but only against the people who want him to actually enact the policies he campaigned on, as opposed to the people who actually oppose him, who say quite openly that they believe he is a traitor, a terrorist, not an American citizen, a communist, a nazi, and so on, and who openly declare that their sole intention is to destroy him. THOSE people, he wants to compromise with. But dare to suggest that he fight harder (hell, fight, period) for the policies he claims to actually believe in, THEN he gets mad.
It is interesting to note that after the election, and watching the pitiful spectacle of Obama’s wild flailing as he begs for cooperation from people who do everything short of calling him the Antichrist on the Capital floor, liberals are (I think for the first time) seriously considering that he may lose his re-election, even if the Republicans nominate Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck to run against him. Some people on Daily Kos are even starting to think about a primary challenge from the left. That will, of course, never happen. But it’s good to see that all options are on the table.
